FlightPath is owned and operated by Aviate Ltd. for 642 AGS (Aerospace Ground School), based at RAF Leeming. The app is developed and maintained to support cadet training, development, and engagement.

What Data We Collect

Data Stored on Your Device (Local Storage)

• Profile Information: Your name and date of birth for age-appropriate content filtering
• App Preferences: Your settings and preferences within the app
• Progress Tracking: Quiz scores, completed activities, and learning progress
• Bookmarks: Content you've saved for later review

This data never leaves your device and is automatically deleted if you uninstall the app.

Data We Receive (Anonymous)

• App Content Requests: When you view Next Steps, Aviation Info, or quiz questions, your device requests this content from our server. These requests do not include any personally identifiable information.
• Technical Data: Standard server logs may include IP addresses, device types, and app version numbers for technical troubleshooting and security purposes only.

How We Use Data

• Content Delivery: To provide you with educational materials, career pathway information, and quiz questions relevant to your RAF Air Cadet training
• Age-Appropriate Content: Your locally-stored date of birth helps filter Next Steps opportunities that match your age group

As a youth organization within the RAF Air Cadets, we process data to:

Your experience with FlightPath is entirely private and focused on your learning and development.

FlightPath is designed for RAF Air Cadets aged 12-20 years. We take the privacy of young people seriously:

• All profile information stays on the user's device
• Content is age-filtered to ensure appropriateness

Data Retention

• Local Data: Stored on your device until you delete the app or clear its data
• Server Logs: Technical logs are retained for 90 days for security purposes, then automatically deleted
• Content: Educational content in the app is managed by squadron staff to ensure it remains current and relevant

You have the right to:

• Access: View what data is stored on your device through the app's Profile screen
• Delete: Clear all local data by uninstalling the app or using device settings
• Portability: Your data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time
